WW2 Outdoor Kitchen near Aberdeen Lower Reservoir [????-????]

I’ve relied on the excellent “HK Maps” website ( www.hkmaps.hk ) for the images in this post.

The site of this wartime kitchen was on the right of Aberdeen Reservoir Road as it ascends towards Aberdeen Lower Reservoir.

The kitchen is in the lower left corner. Aberdeen Lower Reservoir is in the top right corner with Aberdeen Reservoir Road running up to it from left to right across the page. Here’s a close-up of the kitchen.

Looking at Google Maps today, the site is now the “Aberdeen No.2 Salt Water Service Reservoir”. The 1963 aerial pic on HK Maps (1963.2) shows the Reservoir already present at that time, so the kitchen was demolished at sometime between 1949 and 1963, probably during construction of the Reservoir.
