J. McKelvie was one of the greatest footballer in HK in 1920s. As the captain of the Kowloon Football Club (K.F.C.), he led his team to win the Division 1 title in 1924/25, and won the Challenging Shield for 3 times. He became the vice-president of HKFA after world war II.
