HMS Alligator?
This photo likely shows an Atholl class corvette, built around 1820. The ship is fully rigged, therefore it cannot be HMS Alligator if we accept the year 1850 for the drawing. This drawing gives an impression of the small size of this ship and the limited number of beds available. HMS Alligator had a tonnage of 499 tons burthen, and the next hospital ship, HMS Minden, had a tonnage of 1721 tons burthen.
